Good morning Dave. Thank you for the phone call. I will do my best to keep up with your progress and will keep Blessed Solanus in our loop.

Who was Blessed Solanus Casey?
Blessed Solanus was beatified on November 17, 2017 at Ford Field in Detroit with 70,000 people in attendance. He was a Capuchin Priest, who spent much of his life at St Bonaventure Monastery in Detroit MI. He was known as a wonderworker, a healer, a man with an extraordinary faith and confidence in God and for his great attention to the sick. He was the Monastery doorkeeper and as such, he listened to the people who came to the door, talked with them, and prayed with them. And, amazing answers to their prayers began to happen – the sick got well – children who had never walked – walked –- those who were dying -lived, etc.

Fr Solanus, or Barney, as he was known in the family, was born in 1870, on a farm in Oak Grove WI, the 6th of 16 children born to Ellen Murphy and Bernard Casey.
